Run/Walk/Bike with us!!


Run/Walk/Bike events have been becoming increasingly popular across the United States.
In the Iron Mountain area, we have a growing number of these events that are both long running and brand new. We will be updating this list throughout the year so you can always check us out here or even our facebook page.

Run for the Walls 5K (May 6): Come and join us for a 5K run/walk that supports the building efforts of Habitat for Humanity Menominee River. The race starts and ends at the Menominee River Park in Kingsford with a start time of 10:30 AM.

Northern Lights YMCA Northwoods Triathlon:  (June 24, 2017) The Northern Lights YMCA is excited to once again host a local triathlon favorite.  The swim will take place in beautiful Lake Antoine, a clear and calm lake; the bike and run will be scenic routes surrounding the lake.  There will be three events including a Youth Triathlon, Sprint Triathlon, and an Olympic Distance Triathlon. 

Lake Antoine Classic: (August 5, 2017) A benefit for Special Olympics. 15K Run and Bike travel through Fumee Lake Natural Area. The course is mostly flat, unpaved scenic trails. The 5 Mile Run, 5 Mile Walk and 2 Mile Run/Walk are around beautiful Lake Antoine. The course is flat and paved (will accomodate strollers). All events start and finish at Lake Antoine County Park, Iron Mountain, MI.

YMCA Mountain Mudder: Get ready to get muddy! This family-friendly event will take place at Pine Mountain Resort in Iron Mountain, Michigan on Saturday, July 29. It is a fundraiser event to help support the Northern Lights YMCA.

Tour De Dickinson: (August 12, 2017) Whether You are a Hardcore, Serious Rider or Just Someone Who Loves to Ride a Bike, You Will Have a Great Time Riding Down Scenic Roads and Soaking in the Sights of Rivers, Country Land, Fumee Falls, Natural Water Springs and Much More. 6 different routes to suit your level of riding.

Iron Mountain Road & Trail Half Marathon: (September 23, 2017) The Iron Mountain Road and Trail offers a diverse 13.1 mile course with scenic diversity as it travels through historic downtown Iron Mountain, over the Chapin Mine Pit, alongside beautiful Lake Antoine, dipping into the picturesque Fumee Lake Natural area, back out and around the rest of Lake Antoine and back to downtown Iron Mountain.
