It’s time again for
the “Greatest Show on Snow”! More than 10 Countries are expected to participate
in the 2016 Bellin Health Pine Mountain Continental Cup Ski Jumping Competition
in Iron Mountain, Michigan, February 19-21.
Celebrating the competition’s 77th year, ski jumpers from
around the globe will gather in Iron Mountain to try to claim king of the
mountain at the 120 meter Pine Mountain Ski Jump. Known around the world as one of the more
challenging ski jumping venues, Giant Pine Mountain has attracted some of the world’s
top ski jumpers. Countries expected to
compete in the 2016 competition include Austria, Switzerland, Czech Republic,
Norway, Sweden, Poland, Slovenia, Canada, Kazakhstan, Finland, Germany, Turkey
and the United States.
The schedule of events include:
Thursday, February 18, 6:00 –
8:00 p.m. “Meet The Skiers” at Pine Mountain Resort. This is an informal gathering to
meet the skiers and coaches as well as to get autographs. There is no charge
for this event, although reservations are requested by calling the Dickinson
Area Chamber Alliance at (906) 774-2002.
Friday, February 19, 10 AM Training Rounds begin.
Saturday, February 20, 11:00 a.m. Trial Round; 12:15 p.m. Opening
Ceremony;
1:00 p.m. Competition begins.

are $20 for Adults and $15 for Students 11-17 years of age; kids 10 and under
are free. Pre-sale admission buttons are available now through Thursday,
February 18. Gate prices are $25 for adults and $20 for students.
This is the largest tailgate party in the Midwest in the
month of February! Bring your grills, brats and beverages and watch some of the
world’s best ski jumpers! Concessions will be available on site. Carry-ins and
tailgating are welcomed.
